Jamification Station Vol. 1 is a live EP culled from singer/guitarist Debra Devi’s livestream present, “Jamification Station,” hosted by American Blues Scene. 4 tracks capture Devi and her band at comprehensive throttle, from the catchy “Home Again” to a blistering rendition of Jimi Hendrix’s “Crosstown Site visitors,” to the soulful blues-rocker “Get Free” and uplifting Southern-rock tune “The River.”
In May well 2020, Devi was in lockdown in Jersey Metropolis, NJ as an alternative of endorsing her new EP A Zillion Stars Overhead she had recorded with Gov’t Mule’s Jorgen Carlsson on bass. Just one lonely night, Devi set her Apple iphone on a stand and commenced her initial solo livestream. People viewing questioned when she would go reside once more. They required, they defined, one thing to search ahead to all through this sort of a darkish time.
This preliminary livestream morphed into bi-weekly band live shows streaming from drummer John Roccesano’s Hoboken recording studio. American Blues Scene began internet hosting “Jamification Station” on Fb and YouTube. Followers of the band who turned in for every livestream dubbed on their own “Devians.” They nicknamed Devi’s great band—bassist Kevin Jones, keyboard player Martin Schmid, and drummer John Roccesano–“The Dudes.”
In Feb. 2022, her neo-soul single “Please Mr. Postman” (Ab muscles premiere) made Deal with Me‘s “Best Deal with Songs” listing.
What begun as a lonely lockdown night wonderfully bloomed into our frequently hosted livestream, and we are proud to premiere this exclusive collection of tracks.
Devi opens for Jesse Malin at Rams Head Onstage in Maryland June 12. She and the Dudes participate in their EP release social gathering at Bowery Electric NYC on June 15, 9 pm.
