Sabrina Carpenter is typing letters to persons she’ll likely hardly ever produce — but with “Vicious,” she hits the blue “send” button… expeditiously.
Soon after saying the release of her album Emails I Just can’t Send, out July 15, the pop singer dropped the single, offering followers a next flavor of the history. And in the hook-laden kiss off, she does not maintain again.

“You’re fortunate I’m a personal man or woman. I’ve quietly carried your burden,” she sings. “Everyone thinks you’re an angel, but shit I’d in all probability use distinctive wording.”
The keep track of is aimed at a former lover — she notably dated Joshua Bassett amid the Olivia Rodrigo drama — who plainly did her dirty.
“You’re so vicious/Appreciate me then pretend you didn’t/Crush my coronary heart and wreck my graphic/Why you gotta be so vicious?” she sings in the chorus.
“Thank u for remaining individual with me,” Carpenter wrote on Instagram, sharing the E-mails I Can’t Deliver cover art that characteristics her sitting down in a black dress on a beige mattress with a classic laptop. “I assume it’s value the hold out.”
Carpenter teased the album in an interview with Rolling Stone before this calendar year, shortly soon after the release of the LP’s lead single “Fast Situations.”
“I assume you’re a quite various person at 18 than you are at 22, so I’d say hope it to come to feel a good deal far more personal,” she claimed. “And a lot much more storytelling.”
