Kerrytown Live performance Home is arranging its 26th once-a-year avant-garde jazz and creative new new music competition, EDGEFEST 26: Breathing Free of charge – a 4-day exploration of new songs/improvisation composed and executed by artists – noteworthy for boosting their voices and tunes in reaction to ongoing social-cultural problems and the day’s disturbing situations contacting for justice.
Functions will take put in Ann Arbor and Detroit recognizing the voices and contributions of that African American community. The Edgefest roster has usually been diverse and inclusive and this year’s concept and resultant creative new music amplify this dedication.
